Evening in Bentong Walk

BENTONG: With the night market concept turns this century old town lively at night. Bentong Walk which located at Jalan Chui Yin opens every Saturday evenings where the youths are allowed to set-up street stalls along the street.

Towards a platform for youth to start their venture, Bentong Walk is now a cultural street for eating, shopping, performances and art appreciation. Tourism has helped the youths to find new vision which is develop “Bentong Walk” allowing the people to boost their respective hometown, Bentong’s economy.

Under the cooperation from Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai, this street is not only filled with night market and performances, it brings a whole new concept to it. A platform where the youth able to achieve their dreams and helps the locals to start a new venture easily.

At the same time, Bentong Walk also promote tourism, food and beverage, local products also accommodation in Bentong.

Tourists can get a taste of local cuisine and products such as Bentong ginger, honey durian and soy sauce at there.

Joanne Ting, 34, from Perak said, she always come here to get the local product which is Bentong ginger powder that being sold there with reasonable price.

Along the night market, people can enjoy variety of food like dragon’s beard candy, famous crispy stinky tofu, tong shui, fruits, Asam Laksa and many more.

Making Bentong Walk possible is through the mutual effort from three generations from young to old of people in Bentong.
